This scene is the opening to "the hills have eyes" a horror movie where mutants kill passers by in the desert.
The opening of the movie starts with a black screen showing writing about the a-bomb tests that america conducted. The sound played at this part is non-diagetic warning beeping sounds as if a bomb was about to be launched.
The camera then pans to the new mexico desert giving a establishing shot for the film. The camera then follows the stream downwards showing that life may still exsit in this desert. Two charators are reveled in a longshot, fishing debrie out of the river, the costumes imediatly show that necular radiation is present and that they are proberly scientists. Another establishing shot is used to show that more of the goverment scientist are around and gives the feeling of suspense that someone is watching them. Other shots are used to build up the feeling of suspense and then the camera shifts into a 1st person perspective so that the audiance can effectivly relate to the charators The only sound to be heard in this scene is people walking, the keigher counter and the vitims breatheing.
A longshot is used when a disabled surivour jumps at one of the scientsts in help and cowars away as a close up shot is used as a axe is driven in the back of the head of one of the charators, the camera then shows the body hitting the ground to make sure the audiance is sure that hes dead. Various fast cuts and screams are used as the 2nd charator is killed and the camera makes sure to obscure the killer to help increase mystery and suspense. A Close up shot on the victims jeep pans out to revel the 4 vitims tied together like a hunter would tie up deer and drag them along, this is used 2 help distance the audiance with the killer.
In the next screen you see a 1930's advert with a woman blowing out candes as a stark compasion to the previous seen, a then non-diagetic soundtrack of a 1930 country singer is heard as pictures of atomic bomb expolsions are shown with pictures of the "mutants" cut into it.
